WEAPONS LOCKER
A listing of weapons, and what movies they appear in!
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man
A great action-adventure set in the "near future" of 1999. Harley and Marlboro are two life-long friends who decide to rob the bank to pay off the mortgage of the bar they grew up in (of course, thinsg go wrong). Lot's of nice hardware in this flick.
Weapons Featured: Desert Eagle, Ruger .44 Magnum, Steyr Aug
Die hard Series
Bruce Willis stars as a police detctive who strays into the middle of a bank robbery disguised as a terorist act in the first film, and is trapped in a skyscraper battling the robbers with only his trusty Beretta 92 9mm pistol. The movie spawned a series of films in which Bruce strays into action.
Weapons Featured: (DH1) Beretta 92F, HK MP5, Steyr Aug
Under Siege
Steven Segal stars as a Navy Cook (formerly a SEAL) who thwarts an attempted takeover of the battleship USS Missouri. Nice tactics and guerilla warfare in this one.
In the Army Now
Pauly Shore's bumbling comedy abotu a slacker in the reserves fighting in th Gulf. Not very good, but has lots of good equipment for reference.
Equipment Featured: "Sandrail" Desert Patrol Vehicle
Three Kings
George Clooney and Marky-Mark decide to steal some Gold from Saddam Hinsane.
Equipment Featured: "Sandrail" Desert Patrol Vehicle
Conan the Barbarian
Arnold's sword fighting debut. Lots of action and gore.
Sniper
Starring Tom Beringer and Billy Zane, this is the story of a Master Sniper (Beringer) trying to pass on his knowledge to a young punk. AWESOME flick.
Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Ressurection
If you haven't seen at least one of these, you must be living in a cave. The Classic monster film spawned a great sequel and two more not so great sequels.
Blade
Born part-vampire, part-human, Eric Blade (Wesley Snipes) wages a campaign of extermination against Vampires. Probably the best super-hero ever made, spawning a sequel in 2002. Action, guns and swords, oh, my!
Godzilla (1999 US)
Jurassic Park meets King Kong in this blockbuster popcorn flick. Cheesey, but has some good military equipment.
Predator, Predator 2
Probably two of the best films ever made. Arnold and his elite squad go to central america to wipe out a Soviet military camp, then are hunted themselves by a strange alien in Predator. In the sequel, Police Detectives are trying to figure out who (or what) is killing citizens in a 21st L.A., while the U.S. Military is secretly trying to capture another hunter.
Weapons Featured: (P1) M-16, M-16 w/M-203, M-16 "Masterkey", GE Minigun, HK Mp-5, Drum-fed Grenade Launcher, M-60 E3.
(P2) Desert Eagle, M-16 w/203
The Puppetmasters
Not to be confused with the direct-to-video franchise of possessed puppets. In this flick, mind-controlling alien parasites come to earth and are spreading like the plague. One of the few films that actually addresses the problem without protraying the military as idiots.
Tremors, Tremors 2: Aftershocks, Tremors 3: Back to Perfection
The best-damn franchise ever made! Graboids are huge under-ground worm-creatures, over 30 feet long, that pull people and anythign else underground to devour them. In the first film, regular guys Val and Earl (Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward) have to figure out a way to stop the desert-dwelling creatures, aided by gun-nut/survivalists Burt Gummer (Michael Gross and Reba McIntire).
In the Sequel, Earl and Burt return, hired by a Mexican oil company looking for help in removing graboids delaying oil production.
In the third film, Burt returns home to Nevada, only to discover the graboids have returned as well!
The Patriot
Revolutionary War Epic starring Mel Gibson.
Glory
Matthew Broderick stars in what may be the best war movie ever- about the first Black Regiment to fight for the North in the American Civil War. A moving Patriotic film that not only has great combat but makes it clear what many were fighting for.
Aliens
Future Colonial Marines must eradicate a horrible alien infestation on LV-426, a remote colony.
Robocop, Robocop 2, Robocop 3
Officer Alex Murphy is killed by a gang of thugs and resurrected as a killer cyborg. Nearly unstoppable, he dispenses harsh justice in this series of films. Lots of action. Lots of Guns.
Starship Troopers
Not exactly an adaptation of Robert Heinlein's classic, this flick shows how a group of teeny-boppers join the military to fight for humanity against an invasion of ravenous alien attackers.
Universal Soldier
Jean-Claude VanDamme and Dolph Lundgren star as two Vietnam MIAs brought back to life in the 1980s as super-soldiers. Unfortunately, they decide to rebel against their military controllers, rather than spend the rest of the flick kicking criminal/terrorist ass. Still, has some great action sequences.
Blade
Born part-vampire, part-human, Eric Blade (Wesley Snipes) wages a campaign of extermination against Vampires. Probably the best super-hero ever made, spawning a sequel in 2002. Action, guns and swords, oh, my!
Speed
Keanu Reeves must save passengers on a bus rigged to explode. Who hasn't seen this? Still, has a lot of SWAT equipment in it.
Kelly's Heroes
Saving Private Ryan
Apocalypse Now
Full Metal Jacket
Platoon
